Remarks: Labels: Cal; (yellow square); LectoType 3940; A. gibbicollis Horn; Type 7192;Specimen Notes: Don't assume the website is correct! Asida gabbii Horn is an homonym of the preoccupied name Asida gibbicollis Horn. Horn named Asida gibbicollis from Lower California, but then found out the name was preoccupied and thus invalid. So then he renamed it Asida gabbii. So everything that was a type of gibbicollis is actually a type of gabbii now. The current name is actually is Stenomorpha (subgenus Trichiasida) gabbii, I think. There are gabbii specimens listed under gabbii in the LeConte Coll and listed under gibbicollis in the Horn Coll. All of these specimens are most likely syntypes of Asida gabbii, including the LeConte Coll specimen. But because Horn described the species, I think it's correct that you have the type barcode on the Horn specimens. I cannot find that a lectotype has actually been designated, though.
