  • Syntypic series contains 2 species Polymixia lowei and P. nobilis (Woods & Sonoda 1973:269). D.venustus=P.lowei fide Lachner 1954. Determined Syntypes by Howell Rivero, but neither specimen in this lot matches length of single specimen described by Poey- 350 mm (ADW 2008).
