Withington III designations for North America Dineutus, they were never published and are invalid, thus this specimen has absolutely no type status. As there is no question as to the identity of Dineutus emarginatus Say, no “exceptional need” exists for the designation of a neotype as per Article 75.3 of The Code (ICZN 1999), and we refrain from designating a neotype."
