Remarks: From Webb et al, "An annotated catalogue of the New World Therevidae (Insecta: Diptera: Asiloidea)" (2013: Note 84): In the description of "Psilocephala slossoni", Coquillett (1893b: 227) stated "collected by Mrs. A. T. Slosson, after whom the species is named", but the species name given was slossoni, an incorrect original spelling, later emended to slossonae by Cole (1965)."
