Remarks:
Chamberlin file card catalogue lists MCZ No. 163 as "Type." One original label identifies the specimens as Eunice violaceo maculata Ehl. Another label identifies them as Leodice (Eunice) longisetis Webster. A third label (probably written during E. Deichmann's tenure) gives the name as Eunice rousseaui [sic]. Specimens were found in general collection, 1985. At that time, two specimens were determined as E. aphroditois (Pallas) and one as E. schemacephala Schmarda by H. Dean. Examined by Fauchald, 1986.
