  • Tuke's Egg. Believed to be from Eldey, off the coast of Iceland circa 1840. Alfred Newton believed this egg to have been laid by the same bird as "Newton's Egg" currently at Cambridge University. It was purchased a year after it's supposed collection by Mr. Tuke. It was sold at his death The egg was sold in 1912 to John Thayer who in time donated it to the MCZ.
